A Refuge of Hope
in the Midst of Storms
The Anchor Home exists to offer women in crisis a hope greater than their circumstances. Many of our clients are in dire straits. They need a place of safety and people who will help them weather the storm. The Anchor Home is that place with people who will help meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
We believe Jesus is our ultimate hope, so we offer hope in His name.

Firmly Planted in Truth
We put Christ first. We believe that part of his calling to us is to help people in need. Our particular calling is to provide women with a warm bed and good meals in a safe place as they prepare to launch themselves into the next phase of life.

Darlene Hardy is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and inspirational speaker. Her previous career was in education where she taught Kindergarten through college, ending up as a Central Office Administrator before retirement. Darlene was widowed in 2015 and feels blessed to lead The Anchor Home Widow Support Group of Ellis County.
