To be “Home for the Holidays” means different things to many people – it may mean traveling to see family or staying in and hosting your own children – maybe even grandchildren. Christmas is a time of love and family, comfort and reflection. Sadly, many do not have a home for the holidays – physically or emotionally. Anchor Home strives to provide such a home for women in Ellis County who seek refuge during a time of crisis. This year, Home for the Holidays meant volunteers decorating The Anchor Home, generous donations of holiday gifts and meals, and even a car – helping us provide shelter, comfort, and a sense of “home” to these ladies in need.
